A High Elven Town.

This town's populace has been much reduced due to the Sehanine Priest Lillethanneles taking all of the able bodied elves off to war in the Lands of Iuz, where all are presumed to have perished except for one of the town official's sons and perhaps some others.

Daranel's home town. His father is a town official and his mother is master of the merchant's guild.

There is a large church of Sehanine here. The place is kept by three worshippers of Sehanine (who are not priests). They are having trouble keeping it up.

There is a tower in the town, known to the locals as "The Wizard's Tower". It has several clerks working inside, who seemingly get their orders from scrolls which come to them in an odd tube attached to the wall. They send their messages and requests back through this same tube system to a wizard that they have never seen. Nobody in the town has ever seen the wizard, even his apprentices. Nobody seems to doubt his existence, however.

Unicks is on the Artonsamay River, and many people earn their living with boats.
