Immunity to Magic Sleep
- S'Roth: Wizard, Adventurer, Teacher and Sage
Physical Description of K'needian Elves
Skin Colour: Snow White. As K'needian Elve spend time in the sun they
achieve what they call a snow Tan. An ailing K'needian elf would have a opalesque complexion while a heathy one would be the colour of good paper.
Hair Colour: Young K'needians have platinum blond hair which is almost translucent. As they age their hair turns to an ivory colour.
Eye Colour: Electric blue: K'needian Elve's Eye colour is like that of Samoid Huskies, but in shape much more feline as the pupil is that of a cat. This is to easily reduce the effects of snow blindness.
Stature: K'needian Elves are similar in height as high elves but not as slim as High or Grey elves.
The Rote of the K'Needian Elves
Small note: For the first person who can recite this passage without mistakes and without peeking will come a special prize.
Other K'Needian Elves not for sure dead
Which three of the 35 missing are still alive? It remains to be seen, but S'Rang has apparently been found. 1 down and 2 to go?
The Prophesy from the "Arcanae Nebloth"
The Drow, also having prophesies about the gathering, weren't about to wait around and let it happen. The dark elves numbers and relentless hatred proved too much and the Schef Elves were slowly hunted down and killed, until they were nothing more than a legend. However, rumors persisted of a lone village of Schef Elves somewhere in the far North. Having sensed the loss of their fellow Clansmen, these northern elves remained in hiding from almost all intelligent life for fear of being discovered by the Drow. Occasionally adventurers would return from adventuring in the furthest reaches of GreyHawk's north claiming to have caught a glimpse of elves with a snow white complexion and flowing white hair. Although slightly larger in stature than High Elves, these "snow" elves had moved incredibly quickly for in a blink of an eye they disappeared, leaving the witness wondering if he had actually seen anything at all.
Coincidentally, a large army of the deadly Drow have ascended in the area, recently torturing
an unfortunate party of high elves adventuring in the Fellreev Forest, demanding to know the location of the K'needians. The sole survivor of this horrible event had watched each of his party tortured and killed as none knew of what the Drow were talking about. Judging by the
savageness of these particular Drow, if there are any of these "snow" elves living in the
north, the K'needians should pray they are not discovered.....

The Legend as the K'Needian Elves know it
Yes, we know the Drow are our mortal enemies. They seek to destroy us, although at one time in the past we and they were as one. They were destined to follow a different path than ours. Breaking away from them was very difficult and they have never forgiven us. The Rote of the K'Needian Elves tells us the reason, but the true meaning has been lost in time. To those who can unravel the mysteries of the Rote might come great power. And there is also the prophesy...
A tale you find presented here
Sent down to us from yesteryear
We speak it now to earth and sky
'Less it be lost as years go by
Our kind was saved from horrid fate
We left the path that leads to hate
We have La'Tir to thank for this
She gave our tribe a gentle kiss
Our hate was gone, it fell away
We knew we could no longer stray
Our brothers still were hellward bound
They took their hatred underground
'Though La'Tir was ours and in our souls
Our brothers lusted in their holes
But they shall not obtain the prize
That lays so deep within our eyes
Its hidden deep within the roots
Of she who gives us wooden fruits
Dig out the globe - you are not done
Asleep it is, without the one
When Elven Wing meets foot of snake
'Tis then the power shall awake
There were 32 bodies burnt beyond recognition. There are 35 K'Needian Elves not accounted for, including:
After the years of the tree and the lark
Comes forth the burning spark
Those sundered are reunited
The lost ones again are found
But remain as ever opposed
After the death of the One and the Two
The Four of the Three become Five
The book is opened and it begins
They travel the unknown road
To seek the unseekable
Through their word and deed
The isolated become known
To find the wound that will not heal
Upon the consumer which eats no meal
After great trouble for Olvenkind
Once is recovered the rock of fire
And sent thus forth into the depths
The grand mover the centuries renews
In the bowels are seen a long spark
The great star for seven days will burn
Two suns appear where before there were none
From the two parts they will come to honor it.
Please note the following legend is as the humans know it (at least those who delve into such legends). The K'Needian Elves have some knowledge of these events.
Legend has it that as the Drow began their descent to the underworld, a small group broke away,
embracing the light and turning their backs on their dark brothers. This enraged the drow and
after the descent was complete, the drow swore to wipe out their treacherous brethren.
Relentlessly pursued for generations, the Schef (Elvish for hunted) became very adept at
hiding and surviving in less than ideal conditions. Rather than sticking together, the
Schef felt they had a better chance of survival if they split up into smaller groups,
better able to hide. Each group fled to the most uninhabitable parts of Greyhawk - Clan K'Jun to the marshes of the south, Clan A'Reb to the desert to the west and Clan K'Nee to the deep cold forests of the North.
Emotionally and spiritually linked to one another, they pledged a gathering in the next age,
once they had assembled a strong Army; strong enough to bring the Drow back to the Light. At
the time of the gathering, all the Schef would be irresistibly drawn to a predetermined place
to begin the battle for which they were destined.
