Snf'L

Snf'l would like more than anything else to be frivolous and carefree; however life seems to be conspiring against his happiness. For as long as Snf'l can remember whenever he's told a lie bad things happen. Even little lies like "See you later Mom me'n the guys are going hunting" when in reality you were going with S'roth to do some apprenticeship test seem to get your entire village wiped out. Snf'l, through no particular wish of his, has been forced into a life of total honesty. He blames himself for the demise of K'nee and feels that the rest of the group do not take their rolls as the K'nee seriously enough.

The other major motivater for Snf'l is babes. He likes women!! He's not that particular but he would prefer to be with L'wen. He figures with S'part and Elf'ross making such asses of themselves to her that its only a matter of time before she starts looking for a way to shut them up: And what better way to become Snf'l lady!! :-)

Like most Young adults Snf'l leans heavily on the black and white side of looking at the world. Before the massacre of his village, he was very laid back and kind of irresponsible in a "I'll do it tomorrow" kind of mentality. He had never experienced any personal threat so he thought that the elders were over re-acting.

That has all changed! Snf'l's way of dealing with the death of his family is to take on the race's survival as a matter of personal honor. Privately he feels guilty because he was the one to survive. Perhaps if he had have been more diligent in his training he might have been able to protect his family and his village. Because this sense of responsibility is newly acquired it is very extreme, so that he will re-act in an extreme manner when he feels he is not living up to his responsibility or if that responsibility is threatened by something or someone.

Snf'l is a very direct person. He will always favor the direct approach rather than the devious. That is not to say he is impulsive. In fact he feels that every time here makes a hasty decision it is invariably wrong. But his plans tend to be pragmatic and direct, if somewhat non-politic.
He has always been a group oriented person. He enjoys the companionship and comrade' of his 4 friends. Although he hassles E'lfross about being lazy, Snf'l considers E'lfross as kind of a little brother, even though they are almost the same age. Xy'lo is regarded with a certain degree of respect due to his always putting the needs of others before his own. Snf'l feels that he should be better at doing that, than he is. A'ha was always a pretty good kid, although he does have a chip on his shoulder because he's the youngest.
Snf'l believes that, in a macroscopic sense, the group is more important than the individual. Just because he thinks that a rule is unnecessary for him does not mean that he would even consider breaking it. He believes that the people in his village made rules so that everyone would have the best life they possibly could. So he is more than willing to go along with the majority. That is not to say that he would not question or debate the validity of a given rule, but he would cede to the group decision. At the individual level he believes that personal freedom of choice is of preeminent importance. Everyone must make and take responsibility for there own decisions. If a person is forced to make a "good" decision, he has not done "good". If Snf'l found himself in a position in which his personal moral/ethical code was irreconcilably opposed to a group ruling he would take voluntary banishment. If, in a given situation, he felt that by sacrificing himself he could save the group, he would do so without qualm.

Snf's current priorities are thus; First the survival of as many of the K'needian elves as possible. Second, investigate the possibility of the existence other Shef Elf communities in the hope of saving the K'needian Elf gene pool. And third avenge his people. The relative positioning of these priorities may change over time, but since the survival of our group is the only thing we can afford to deal with right now that's number one. If Snf'l believed that he or another member of the group were a serious threat to the groups survival he would do ANYTHING he thought he had to correct the situation. This would include banishment or death.
