The southbound lane of the Ring Road was closed for several hours
Tuesday after a single-vehicle accident sent one man to hospital.
Regina police say icy roads and poor visibility were factors in the accident,
which occurred shortly after 9 a.m. The driver lost control of his vehicle
just
south of Ross Avenue in the northbound lane of Ring Road, crossed
the ditch and rolled his vehicle in the southbound lane, police said.
The driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries
[K.B. yeah, like a broken neck is just a walk in the park].
Regina police are advising drivers to drive carefully.
Staff Sgt. Hank Lamer of the Regina Police Service said as the weather
gets warmer,
frost comes out of the road causing it to become
wet and slippery [K.B. you can say that again].
"The pavement starts to get wet and everybody
still thinks
they can go 100 (km-h), but they can't," he said....
