"LAND OF LIVING SKIES"

Hey, Hey, Hey, and a BIG WELCOME to where I live. The map above shows the Western half of Canada. My home province, SASKATCHEWAN, is right in the middle of the Prairie Provinces. The dot on the map shows approximately where Regina (the city I live in) is located. The "Land Of Living Skies" heading is the new slogan for our provincial license plates. For me personally, the skies are living in Regina because you get a very good view of the DANCING NORTHERN LIGHTS!

A FEW FACTS

1. Regina is Saskatchewan's Largest and Capital City.
2. Regina is the greatest wheat growing region in North America.
3. Regina has a population of apporximately 190,000 people.
4. Saskatchewan's nickname is CANADA'S BREADBASKET.
5. Saskatchewan got its name from the Cree Indians name for the Saskatchewan River, Kisiskadjewan.

MY FAB 4 REGINA TOURIST ATTRACTIONS

ROYAL CANADIAN MOUNTED POLICE

Regina is Canada's one and only training academy for the R.C.M.P. Take a trip here in July and August when you can see the AWESOME Sunset Retreat Ceremony. It is considered to be one of the top 100 events in North America! Also, check out the RCMP CENTENNIAL MUSEUM! This museum has the LARGEST collection of Mountie artifacts in Canada.

THE SASKATCHEWAN LEGISLATIVE BUILDING

Whether it be in summer or winter, this Parliament Building is a treat to see. Tours of the building are held frequently during the year. If you're lucky, you may even be able to sit and listen to the politicians during Question Period!

If you like gambling, then this is the place you want to be. CASINO REGINA is Saskatchewan's largest casino. It has over 500 slot machines, electronic horse racing, blackjack, poker, bacarrat, roulette and the list goes on and on. Take a journey here the next time you visit Regina and have the urge to WIN BIG!
