During 1991-1993, I competed in the Regina Optimist public speaking competitions. I enjoyed my experience at these competitions immensely. By speaking in public in front of hundreds of people, I am now a stronger person and am not as shy as I was when I first entered elementary school. Here is a table with the awards I won during these competitions.

YEARAward Won
1991 First place in school competition. Runner-up in city competition.
1992 First place in school competition. Runner-up in city competition.
1993 First place in school competition. Second place in city competition.

For the past 14 years, I have been studying voice, organ, and piano. During this time I have taken many Toronto Royal Conservatory of Music Examinations both practical and theoretical. In four of my exams (2 for voice and 2 for piano) my marks were the highest in the province of Saskatchewan. For these achievements I received silver medals and money awards. Not only have I done well in music examinations, but I have also done well in the REGINA MUSIC FESTIVAL. Since 1988, I have to my credit 19 first places, 10 second places, and 9 scholarships. The following table contains a listing of the 9 vocal scholarships I have won and the years I won them in.
