In the October 13th edition, Sylvia wins second prize in grade two at the Star City School fair for a pencil drawing of vegetables.
In the "Public School report month of November" of the Melfort Moon Newspaper for December 8, 1915, Weldren is in Grade two (Int) and has a mark of 76% being second in his class. Sylvia has a mark of 84% in grade two (Sr).
The grade two's put on an operetta on the 21 st of December called "Mother Goose". The article indicates how well the young children performed. Sylvia played Old Mother Hubbard.
In April 5, 1916, again in the Melfort Moon, his mark is a 90% in the "School reports for March" and he is at the top of his class. You can also see Sylvia's mark of 79% in the picture.
In the column under "School reports for May" in the Journal Newspaper of June 2, 1916 the following appears. Weldren is still at the top of his grade 2 class with a 81%.
