LBC UPDATE

We are building a new staff cabin June 3-5!
Thank you to the many individuals who have already donated, plus to Wascana Presbytery for the generous $5,000 gift. We raised enough money in only one week to move the build along, $40,000 in all. BUT...it is only beginning.
We still need to raise over $100,000. We know that there is a lot of people who have spent time at LBC, who have children that have spent time there, or who understand that United Church Camping is the best way to provide leadership skills for youth in our province. If you haven't donated, please consider what you can give. If you have donated, please talk to friends, family, and members of your congregation about this project.

Additionally, you can keep an eye on the 3 Day Build Blog found here http://threedaybuild.blogspot.com There will be fundraising updates, interesting stories, photos and more. As mentioned at the last Presbytery meeting, we are looking for ambassadors in each congregation. We have several already established, but many churches are without.
Please contact me if you know someone that would be effective at sharing updates about the build, looking for volunteers, and seeking financial contributions from within their congregation. We are also hoping they will help collect cookies, puff wheat cake, and other snacks for workers at the build. This is a short term job, since the build is only 4 weeks away!

Finally, we are still looking for an electrician and plumber. If you know someone in either of these trades please contact myself or Janet Robinson at jj.robinson@sasktel.net.  And of course, even if you are not a professional contractor, we need your labour at the build. Contact Janet at the email above to indicate that you are coming out for the weekend to help make this dream a reality!!

Let's keep up the momentum!
