The Big Muddy

Sandstone buttes, caves that once provided refuge for notorious outlaws, ruins of an early North West Mounted Police post, stone effigies and Native ceremonial rings. A valley of high indicative of the days of train robbers, shoot outs, Chief Sitting Bull and Butch Cassidy. Also known as Station No. 1 on Butch Cassidy's outlaw trail, the Big Muddy is situated along the United States border in the Big Beaver area in R.M. No. 10 of Happy Valley.
