After fixing the chain case and getting everything back together, we decided to go back for another try. We ended up, reopening all the grown in trails my dad used to ride as a kid. In the pictures below, you will see that we got stuck, pretty good too.
My dad didn't make it all the way up, and with me right behind him I couldn't pass him so I also got stuck. No one had been on these trails in years, there was a good foot or two of snow that was crusty on the top.
