283 - Tractor

October 2013 - I started building this tractor in March of 2004.  I got the 6 page blue prints from Toys & Joys on the internet but for some reason I put the project aside after several months and many hours and never got back to it until September of this year when I decided I had to get it done.  All the pieces were hand cut, turned or carved according to very specific blue print pictures and all pieces were made from Oak wood except for the steering wheel which I turned from Maple because the grain in the Oak was such that the wheel kept breaking.  I would estimate there were over 80 hours put in to complete this but it was worth it. The tractor is about 10 inches long, 7 inches tall and 76 inches wide at the rear wheels.
