February 2017 - I saw this project in the Spring 2017 issue of Woodcarving
Illustrated and before I undertake the project which will be a 10 inch
plate, I chip carved this one on a 4 inch plate that I made on my Shopsmith
lathe. It is 3/8 inch thick and is finished with Watco Dark Walnut Danish
Oil. The face of this plate is actually flat but it looks 3D round when you
look at it. |
