336 - 3-D Illusion plate

September 2017 - This is chip carved on a 10 inch plate that is 3/4 inches thick and flat on the surface. The pattern gives the illusion of a rounded sphere but as can be seen on the side view it is not. The plate is turned from basswood and the finish is get stain with a thin varathane spray.
