August 2020 - The Native American is based on plains-style tribe. His shield symbols represent the four directions with thunderbolts.
He is carrying a coupe stick, which represents enemies contacted in battle, without killing. This was considered a symbol of great
courage among warriors. The feathers are actually cut from larger feathers I found while walking in the park, and attached to the coupe stick, as well as his headdress.
