Round Lake IV 1988

Currently there are no photos of the 1988 Round Lake Weekend. If you have any, please get some sort of copy to Steve.

Scott: It was either 1987 or 88 when Kevin darn near skied into the dock. His eyes were bugging out so much he looked like Kermit the Frog. He was a little green, too, but I think we all were. Geez, that was close...

Steve: It was a fair bit into the day and I was a fair bit into my first 12 pack (remember how we often had to leave food behind so we could fit more beer in the car?). we were sort of taking turns water skiing.
So Kevin comes wailing around the corner toward the dock on waterskis, but whoever was driving the boat (I believe it was Kev's uncle) was too close to the shore and it was obvious to everyone that Kevin was going to hit the dock at about 15 mph and it was going to catch him just below the knees, but Kevin (with a calmer look than I could muster in that circumstance) let go of the rope and crashed himself down into the waves. I don't think he got hurt - and we all stood there in stunned silence. I think when we came out of it we applauded.
Jeff: That is how I remember it also. It seems to me that he had waved his Uncle to drop him off and the Uncle thought he meant speed up but by that time he had angled in toward the dock. Man oh man... had to force myself to keep my eyes open.
Conference 2003: Steve and Jeff and Fred talked about this weekend's events while at Wakaw Lake in 2003 and came up with the following:
1) Steve drove his Bobcat into a culvert. After investigating the scene of the accident, the gang decided that they should sing Christmas Carols into the culvert so it would echo musically across the lake.
2) Carel was there.
3) Fred was there.
