Thing you noticed that was the same about the Wildes: Shelley's Multiple personality disorder Thing you noticed that was different about the Christensens: The fact that Holly did not bring some of everything that Safeway sells. Thing you noticed that was the same about the Christensens: Murray still snores. Thing you noticed that was different about the O'Briens: I still can't get used to the sober, responsible Jeff. Jeff: Further to this, we happily report that we have told Kathy's dad everything that happened on the weekend. (Well, actually, we told him nothing other than what we had to tell him), and he was most understanding about the verandah collapsing. However, unless someone sees a pink squeally thing in the air with a curly tail, Round Lake shall never occur at Wakaw Lake again. :) Jeff (Added in 2005): Wakaw II - "It's okay - it's fixable!" Best Event of the weekend: The 17th (circa) anniversary of Leen and Scott's canoe ride. Worse thing that happened at the cabin: A Friday departure. Well, that, and structural failure. Thing you noticed that was different about Fred: He tossed a caber. 'Nuff said. Thing you noticed that was the same about Fred: He's still the most personable god around. Thing you noticed that was different about the Christensens: Not once did I hear Holly crab about somebody taking her Pepsi. Of course, we left early ... Thing you noticed that was the same about the Christensens: Murray says a lot more in person than he does via e-mail. Thing you noticed that was different about the O'Briens: Jeff's conscience is outdone only by his forethought. And carpentry. Thing you noticed that was the same about the O'Briens: Kathy makes you feel like she's really listening to your opinion. (I don't get that often ...) Thing you noticed that was different about the Boyes': A lot less beer. Sniff. Thing you noticed that was the same about the Boyes': How much we miss you guys. Sniff. Thing you noticed that was different about Debbie: As Fred said, a bit quieter. Thing you noticed that was the same about Debbie: Maybe she's was quieter because she was drunker. I dunno, it's a theory. Thing you noticed that was different about the Baconfields: No curling iron in sight. Thing you noticed that was the same about the Baconfields: Paul's hair looks fine without it. Thing you noticed that was different about the Van Marions: They didn't glare at Connor this year. Thing you noticed that was the same about the Van Marions: Leen can still make a canoe go in only one direction: down. Steve: Some of us decided that we were actually still at the first Round Lake Weekend, and the rest of our lives are just collective dreams we are having that we will laugh about over some beer when we wake up. OK, it wasn't some of us, it was me and Jeff. Amber and Melany go in the tube. Well, I guess just about everyone went in the tube, bt my darling girls were tossing their arms in the air with apparent disregard to the danger they were in. I thought for sure one or both were going to fall out, but I guess that was actually Alison. Joey loved dancing to the "Big Mouth Bass", but was a little freaked out by the moving fish head. Fish drinks graduate to plastic cups, and Joey's is "Joey the Guppy". Fred's defining moment was "Shhhh". Leen's defining moment was when Fred was lyin on the ground laughing and couldn't get up. Alison came up with a new song, "I get bumped out, but I swim back again, never going to keep me out." Amber liked that Kevin's pants fell down in the middle of the road while he was carrying Joey. Jeff figures the defining moments were, "The deck collapsing, the exploding hottub, the teenagers and illecit substances issues, and how cute Melany is becoming." Shannon mentioned the deck and firecrackers in the fire, as well as the injuries and the puking. Paul figures that the defining moment is that its too hard to get laid at the Round Lake Weekend. Holly refused to talk to this reporter. Murray is most defined (or his moments are) by getting wiped out while riding the tube. Kathy mentioned the deck falling, the eye of Paul and the children's troubles.
