I first became interested in photography in the mid-1970's and remained active throughout the 1980's, Due to job conditions photography fell by the wayside. In late 2004 an infection in my left foot and reaction to medication landed me in the hospital for the best part of 4 months. The end result of this situation was the loss of my left foot. During the recovery phase I decided to revive my interest in photography, which would also provide me with the exercise to improve my mobility and strength.
