Photography Technical Information

The pictures displayed here were created with both film and digital cameras.

When shooting film I use Olympus OM-1, OM-2 and OM-4 cameras with an assortment of fixed and zoom lenses.  I shoot both negative and slide film and vary between Kodak and Fuji film types. My preferences tend to Elite Chrome ASA 200, Fuji Film ASA 200 and ASA 400 and Kodak ASA 200.

I have the negatives or slides processed and then I digitize them using a Plustek Opticfilm 7200 scanner and Silverfast UScan-SE software. I generally digitize at 3800 dpi and 24 bit color.

When shooting digital I use a Olympus SP-500UZ or an Olympus EVolt 330 with either a 14-45 mm lens or 40-150 mm lens.

I generally use filters for both film and digital shooting, especially CPL (polarizing) and warming filters.

I primarily use Adobe Photoshop CS for cleaning up the photos and any enhancement or modification of the images.
