The data contained in this volume is a history of the McCrea
Family since their arrival in Shannon in 1823. This information
was taken from research left by Ethel McCrea McCready and
various other members of the McCrea Clan. Lawrence McCrea
initiated the writing of this book because he believed the McCrea
story should be told. McCrea Farms provided the services of a
genealogist, David Henderson. Aunt Ethel's wishes were that our
records should be preserved and shared with future generations.
