Whittingham James Whittingham is
currently appearing on CBC’s Just for Laughs television series,
hosting the bridging vignettes in each episode. James began his comedy
career in the mid 1980's with appearances on Regina Television. Later
James starred in Strike Me Silly, a half hour 16mm comedy about the
Devil inhabiting a bowling alley. In 1994 they began The James and
Kevin Show on Access Communications (later broadcast on SCN with
segments appearing on Vision TV and Canadian Comedy Shorts on The
Comedy Network).
The Series has won him numerous awards including:
Best Cable Production at the 1997 Yorkton
International Short Film and Video Festival,
Best Performance at the 1996 Saskatchewan
Motion Picture Association Awards,
Best Cable Production at the 1994 and
1996 Saskatchewan Motion Picture Association Awards, and
Best Entertainment Program 1997 Canadian
Cable Television Association Awards.
They were also nominated in the Best Performer
category at the 1997 Yorkton Festival.
Whittingham has been a hit on stage as well,
recently opening to an audience of 1000 for Bauser and Blue’s first Regina
appearance at the Saskatchewan Center in January, 1998. He has hosted the
1994 Saskatchewan Motion Picture Industry Gala Awards. In 1995 he
co-hosted with actress Cynthia Dale and CBC’s Peter Mansbridge.
James is a multi-faceted talent who is an
award-winning performer, writer and producer. From the beginning he has
been writing and producing The James and Kevin Show. After
graduating with a film degree from the University of Regina in 1992, James
went on to produce, write and direct eighty-five half hour episodes of the
award-winning Regina series E-Clips over a three year period. He
has also starred in popular television commercial campaigns in
Saskatchewan, and even developed a large multi-media web site for The
James and Kevin Show (Yahoo’s Pick of the Week, August, 1997).

Allardyce
"Kevin"
A Showcase award winner for his
work as "Kevin" on The James and Kevin Show, Kevin Allardyce
returns for the series' fifth season after a successful residency in a
drug and alcohol rehab centre.
Born in Regina, Allardyce became
interested in acting at an early age when he appeared in many high
school plays and musicals including Anything Goes.
Later he appeared in Oliver in an unforgettable performance
as "The Artiful Dodger." Critics are still buzzing about his
appearance in Man of La Mancha as "Don Quixote".
An avid debater, Allardyce dabbled in political science and later
majored in Religious Studies at the University of Regina.
Allardyce's also just
appeared in the half hour TV drama Scrounger as "Kyle" a bull
semen salesman.
Allardyce currently serves as
the "Nice and Easy Girl" for Clairol. He and his wife,
writer/actor Stephanie Hall, live in Los Angeles with their son Henry.
