251- Nutcracker

December 2011 - I've been wanting to make a nutcracker for a few years now but never got around to it. This is now the second one I turned and while the picture doesn't show it, this one is 20 inches tall and made from pieces of wood I had lying around in the garage. He is painted with acrylics and sealed with some water based satin varnish. While he is bigger than the first one, I chose exactly the same colour scheme as the first one.
