November 2015 - This was actually made with my lathe and a table saw from a
piece of wood 5" wide and 12" tall and .75" thick. The wood was placed on my
lathe with my wide lathe jaws and then I turned 10 circles in the centre of
the piece. After that I cut the piece in half and from each half starting at
the centre, I cut out 4 pieces .75" wide leaving the 5th piece about .35"
wide. The pieces were glued together in a symetrical fashion, then sanded
and varnished. |
