Steve: Shelley is almost seperated from her toe (also the summer of the motorcycles in the hailstorm) Was that fun or what Jeff? (I mean the motorcycles in the hail, not Shelley's toe) Scott and Leen sink the canoe. Was this the fish paddle weekend Leen? Dave, is this when you got stuck in the canoe because your legs were asleep? I thought that it was pretty funny, especially when I went and got everyone in the cabin to come see, but I guess it wasn't very fun for you. We played a lot of Deeandee as well. Holly and Murray weren't there, because so many of us grumbled about them bringing a child (Sean) who I guess we figured would somehow wreck the weekend (little did we know how tolerant of adult partying Sean would become). Kathy's claim that she came on the same year as Shelley does not hold water because: does anyone else recall Kathy's "green" coffee? There is no way my future wife would have sat there quietly and not pushed my sister out of the way and taken over that duty. Photos indicate the presence of Dave and Donna, Gary, Scott and Joan, Greg and wife (?), Kevin, Leen, Steve and Shelley, Jeff. Scott: Scott came up with, "Leen, can you swim? If you can't, do you float well enough for both of us?" Kevin contributed the very succinct, "AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" by waterskiing within two feet of the dock. He also earned the honourable title of Mr. Canoehead for afixing his canoe to his sedan in such a fashion as to provide lift-off at 132 kmh. And Added Later: And by the way, there were definitely TWO girls there, though I can't remember who the other was. I always assumed it was Shelley, but she swears not. Was it a friend of Kathy's? Kathy:Steve's sister Kathy claims to have come along on this trip. She is pretty sure Shelley was there at Kevin's Uncle's cabin at the same time. Jeff thinks that she was there the first year 1985. Anybody else recall enough or have pictures to straighten out this claim? Shelley: I was not there when Kathy was there at the cabin. I came in 1986 and then not again until 1990. Conference 2003:Jeff, Mrs. Jeff and Steve did a little brainstorming about 1986 while out at Wakaw Lake in 2003. It was Jeff's first year of Round Lake and came up with the following facts: 1) Gary's signature phrase for the weekend was: "Are you gonna eat that?" 2) Mrs. Jeff was not there and did not even know who we were. She was also 8 months pregnant at the time. 3) Leen came out after he was done work at that Northend bar he worked at. 4) Jeff thinks this was definitely the fish paddle weekend. (Photo evidence concurs) 5) Scott and Joan were an item. 6) Dave and Donna were there (which would mean this was NOT the weekend that dave got stuck in the canoe, as I would have gotten heck from Donna for allowing it to happen, and I'm pretty sure when it did happen there were only guys around).
