Masking, Colorization and Collage
|
|
As you can see we have applied a few other changes to our original photo, such as
a masking layer over it and a thin framing effect to the four corners.
|
|
The use of a masking layer is often seen in wedding photos to high-lite the main
subjects. It is also seen many times in photography where the subjects are newborns or
young children. There are limitless masking effects that can be used to achieve that
special look. To view some examples of this check out the "Effects" page.

The photo that appears to the left is an actual black and white photo that has been
colorized. This process can at times be somewhat difficult, depending upon the amount
of different colors and objects in the photo being processed. But as can be seen here,
the end result can be well worth it when you can see an old photograph come to life with
vibrant color.

Enhance
The photo that appears above was actually a color photo, but the color saturation was so
low that it was not possible to merely bring up the saturation levels to effect a change.
The image had to finally be processed by manually applying the colorization process.
Skin tones, hair tones and color to the dress, along with a cheerier background. To view
a more detailed photo of these just click the image.

Collage
The collage above was created by using four separate photographs, and then extracting
an element from each to form a collage. The separate elements are city backdrop,
Ancient Egypt, residential, and last of all we needed an onlooker to enjoy the work that
had been created.
The main purpose of this example is to demonstrate how objects and people can be
placed into any environment that can be imagined.
Just imagine where you would like to be placed, let us know and we can put you there,
without the hassle of booking flights, getting immunization shots, and all that fun stuff
that goes with travel.
Below is another example of a collage.
All the images in the above collage were
photographed by Janet.
She is a very versatile and imaginative photographer. More of
her
work can be viewed at the following sites.
